Obituary for Corinne Evelyn Consolato
Corinne Evelyn Loiselle was born on September 30, 1927, in Kankakee, Illinois. She passed away peacefully at her home in Rosemead, California, on April 20, 2017. Growing up in Kankakee, she attended St. Joseph’s High School and graduated as valedictorian of her class. In 1947 she married James Consolato, also of Kankakee. In 1959 they moved to California, where they raised their three children. Corinne was intelligent, hard working, and a family oriented mother and wife. She was very proud of her home and children. She managed the family resources in a loving effort to make sure her children were always fed, clothed, given a strong spiritual upbringing, and educated. Truth and justice were Corinne’s mantras and she seriously embodied those sentiments throughout her life. Corinne also worked as a bank teller and later on in the mortgage industry as a legal secretary. During retirement, she enjoyed taking cruises with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law, and she also enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Consolato, Sr. She is survived by her son, James Consolato, Jr., her daughters, Mary Beth (Embree) and Julie (Surgi), her grandchildren, Matthew, Thomas, Vanessa, Rachel and Jared, and her great grandchildren, Brendan, Rylan, and Avila. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Josephine Hendricks, and her nieces, Jackie Chamberlain, Lana Shear and Josephine Garrison.
