Ernie Rubio Jr., a cherished soul who brought warmth and strength to all who knew him, passed away on April 28, 2025, at the age of 73. Born in East Los Angeles, California, and raised in El Monte, Ernie lived a life defined by courage, loyalty, and love.
A proud Vietnam veteran and Army Ranger, Ernie answered his country’s call when drafted into the Army, serving with honor and bravery. His service shaped his character, instilling a deep sense of duty that he carried into every aspect of his life.
Ernie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend.
His family was his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them, whether sharing stories, laughing over a shooter, or simply being together. His love extended to his wide circle of friends, with whom he built lasting memories with, riding his cherished Harley-Davidson or lending a helping hand whenever needed. Ernie’s generosity and kindness touched countless lives, as he was always ready to support those around him with a smile or a thoughtful gesture.
An avid Harley rider, Ernie found freedom and joy on the open road, where the roar of his motorcycle echoed his vibrant spirit. His passion for life was contagious, whether he was surrounded by loved ones or forging new connections with his easygoing charm.
Ernie leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with everlasting stories.
