Obituary for Ruben Grizzelle
Ruben Grizzelle, born August 27th, 1951 in Los Angeles, CA, passed away on June 28th, 2016. Predeceased by wife Diana Grizzelle, parents Vincent and Ernestina, and brother Mario Grizzelle. Survived by his children Ruben, Celia and step daughters, Emily and Christina Estrada, grandchildren Angelina, Olivia, Ruben and Alyssa, brother Richard, sisters Angie and Josie, and longtime girlfriend, Gloria Garcia. Ruben was also a beloved Uncle, Godfather, Cousin, Friend, and Mentor. He was a source of love and inspiration throughout his Family for both immediate and extended. An intelligent man whose warmth and generosity touched all who had relationships with him. Ruben was a man of many gifts and talents that truly never let the sometimes harsh realities of life take him down.
Professionally Ruben worked as a Warehouse Manager from 1975-1988, Dot Etcher/Color Corrections editor from 1988-1996. Graduated in June of 2013 from East Los Angeles College as a Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor and in his own words " the decision to pursue this was not made in haste, since 2004, I knew that I needed to give back." Ruben was very passionate about helping others and being a positive influence in someone’s life. Ruben was a talented writer and artist who also loved to write and draw in his free time.
Ruben will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Rest in peace
